The protein has a number of functions including the regulation of leukocyte migration, leukocyteendothelial cell adhesion and signal transduction and may play a role in a number of inflammatory diseases. Recombinant Human VCAM1 also called CD-106 is expressed in E. coli containing 674 （25-698） fused to an amino terminal hexahistidine tag. | |
